In this step, you delete master data (commitment items) in Cash Budget Management, with the help of a program. Both the master data information and all existing information on hierarchy relations are deleted.

You should only use this program if:

  • you are still in the test phase and you want to delete your test data before the production startup, and
  • there is no planning or posting data in the commitment items

Requirements

  • Back up your data
  • Before deleting the master data, you should deactivate the FM area. You do this by deactivating all the company codes to which you have assigned this FM area. For more information, go to the Cash Budget Management implementation guide and read "Activate/deactivate Cash Budget Management".
  • You have not entered a plan or made any postings, or you have deleted existing transaction data. For more information, go to the Cash Budget Management implementation guide and read "Transaction data".
  • You have deleted all the commitment items defined in G/L accounts. For details, go to the Cash Budget Management implementation guide and read "Remove commitment item from G/L account".

Activities

Delete the master data in the FM areas concerned.

Note that when you run the program, the commitment items in Funds Management are also deleted.
