In this step, you define variables for drilldown reporting in Cash Budget Management.

Variables are used to add flexibility to the forms, which represent row and column structures, as well as to reports. They are parameters which you specify when defining or executing a report. The fields you need to fill at that stage appear in a dialog box.

Standard setup

The following variables for characteristic values are delivered with the system:

  • &0FIKRS for FM area
  • &OFY current fiscal year (determined automatically)
  • &0FY1 fiscal year
  • &0FY2 fiscal year - to (only in conjunction with &0FY1)
  • &OFP current period (determined automatically)
  • &0FP1 period
  • &0FP2 period - to (only in conjunction with &0FP1)

Actions

You define new variables by entering variable types and names. With the variable type, you are specifying how you want to use the variable in future:

  1. As a variable for a characteristic value
  2. As a variable for a text, or
  3. As a variable for a formula

When you press Enter, the system inserts the fields which need to be filled.
