You can make the Customizing settings for active ingredient management, that is, the settings in the proportion unit section even if active ingredient management is not active.
This means that you can make Customizing settings for active ingredient management (that is, settings for proportion units) before you actually activate active ingredient management.
You must activate active ingredient management before you can maintain proportion units in the material master record.
