In this step, you define the field sets belonging to function calls which the SAP System sends to the external application program.
Each entry consists of the following fields:
- Field set
The field set must first be allocated to a function with the transmission direction "D".
- Item number
Consecutive counter.
- Field name
The local field name is used for further processing in the external application program. The field name entered here is not subject to any checks.
- DDIC (SAP) field name
Here, enter the field name from an SAP table which you want to include at this point in the data string.
- Field length
For each field, you can also define a length in which the field entered under "Field name" is to be transferred.
If you enter a field length here, this field length always overrides the "DDIC field length" from the SAP table field. You have the option of defining a longer field length than the DDIC field length. This is useful, for example, for transferring a template with the field. - DDIC field length
The DDIC field length is taken from the R/3 Repository. The field entered under "Field name" ist transferred in this length if you do not enter a different field length.
- Description
The description is also taken from the R/3 Repository.
