You use this IMG activity to define the condition tables for condition records.

You define key field combinations in a VMS message determination condition table for which you want to create messages.

To enter the condition table in access sequences for the message type, you create a link between the message type and the condition record.

Standard settings

The SAP standard system comes with condition table 350 with the key field Action.

The action is the result triggered by the message output, which means that the action is always required as a key. In a new condition table you can put the action key before the other fields of the field catalog, and then create key combinations that can for example cover the following practical applications: messages for sales organization Sweden or messages for motorbike dealers.

Activities

  1. Check to what extent you can use the SAP standard system condition tables for message control.
  2. If necessary create a new condition table:
    1. Choose condition --> create from the menu.
    2. Enter the name of the table that you want to create.
      3. Note that you can only choose names from between 501 and 999.
    3. Choose table 350 as the reference table.
    4. Enter a name for the condition table.
    5. From the list of allowed fields, select the fields required for the condition table.
    6. Generate the new condition table.
