In this section, you define the usage types of building parts of collateral objects. When you define a usage type you specify whether the object is used for

  • 1 residential
  • 2 commercial or
  • 3 used for both

purposes. This information is required for object management and for collateral value determination (long version). Only objects of internal usage type '2' are treated as being commercial.

In the overview of building parts, totals are created on the basis of the internal usage type for the total number of commercial units and residential units.

For collateral value determination, the internal usage type controls whether a building part is shown as

  • commercial or
  • residential.

For this reason you have to assign an internal usage type to each usage type.

Activities

  1. Determine the usage types you need.
  2. Delete any usage types you do not need.
  3. Assign any newly created usage types to an internal usage type.
  4. Save your entries.
