This step enables you to implement the following user exit for the Customer Enhancement for Special Personnel Actions:

If you want to implement a user exit, you must first create a project for it and then assign the required user exit to the project. You then create the coding for the user exit, and activate the project.

Before you create a project, we strongly recommend that you read the documentation on enhancing SAP transactions, which you can access after calling this Customizing activity by choosing Help -> Extended help.

General information on user exits is also included in SAP Library, and is accessed by choosing BC - Change of SAP Standard. Furthermore, you are provided with specific information on every user exit after you have assigned it to your project.

Warning

You should only perform this activity if both of the following conditions have been met:

  • SAP standard processes do not meet your requirements.
  • You have detailed knowledge of ABAP/4 programming.

Activities

First, create a project.

  1. Enter a name for your project.
  2. Choose Enhancement -> Create.
  3. Enter a short text for your project, and choose Save.

Then assign the user exit to your project.

  1. Choose Components.
  2. Enter the name of the user exit you want to implement.
  3. If you want to read detailed information on this user exit, choose SAP documentation.
  4. Choose Save.
  5. Choose Back.

Now make your changes to the coding.

  1. Choose Enhancement components.
  2. Choose Change.
  3. Choose the user exit for which you want to enter new coding.
  4. Choose include zxpbco01.

The system requires you to create this include, in which you can enter your new coding.

Activate your project.

  1. Go back to the initial screen, and choose Activate project.
