To create an assessment cycle:

1. Enter a name for the cycle.
2. Enter a validity period.
3. Maintain the header data for the cycle:
1. in which currency should allocation take place
2. whether consumption/usage should be allocated
3. Whether to scale negative tracing factors
4. whether the cycle changes should be iterativ
5. Which cycle versions are valid
4. Define cycle segments in which you store the following information:
1. the cost element to be set
2. the criteria for partitioning costs by receiver
3. the sender
4. the receiver object
5. Save the cycle
