In this activity you define subcontractor groups.
Subcontractor groups enable you to group service lines from a bill of services in Sales, and transfer them to a bill of services in purchasing. Therefore, subcontractor groups are used as a selection criterion.
You can define as many subcontractor groups as required. The system provides these groups as input help for allocating a subcontractor group.
Example
You can use material groups, purchasing groups, or maintenance groups as grouping/selection criteria. For maintenance groups you define the following subcontractor groups, for example:
- 0001 Dry mortarless construction
- 0002 Heating
- 0003 Electrics
- 0004 Facade
Requirements
Standard settings
The subcontractor group 0000 has been set up as a default value. This group represents all internal activities. Service lines in this subcontractor group cannot be transferred to purchasing.
If a service line is not allocated to a subcontractor group at the time of creating or changing a bill of services, the system assigns the group 0000 as a default.

- a language-dependent name
