Define Determination Type for Packing Instructions

In this step, you define specific determination types for packing instructions. For example, you can define determination type "Packing in shipping", and assign packing instructions to this determination type. The determination types thus enable you to group the packing instructions valid for a specific area. In each determination type, you enter an access sequence that defines which fields the system searches for a valid determination record (condition record).
You always define determination records for a determination type.

If you define your own determination types, the key should begin with the letter Z, as SAP keeps this name range free in the standard system.
You should not change the determination types already contained in the standard system.
Activities
Check the extent to which you can use the determination types already contained in the standard system.
Create a new determination type by copying a similar one (via Edit -> Copy as...). Then make the following entries:
Enter an alphanumerical key of up to 4 figures and a description for the determination type.
Enter an access sequence for the determination type.
If required, make an entry for the default date for condition record creation.
