BAS Data Model
In this IMG activity you define the fields to be checked in the error-tolerant search.
BAS control table TSAD10 lists all the fields that can be indexed and that are supported by Information Quality Management # Duplicate Prevention. The setting depends on the address type.
The set of indexed fields is always a subset of the fields of control table TSAD10.
Information Quality Management # Duplicate Prevention enables you to define the fields to be indexed for each index pool with Customizing:
- Fields #Applic. Table# and #Field# contain the index pool used for indexing and for the search. The input help offers the index pools that are standardly delivered.
- Field #Table Name# contains the table from which the field that is indexed and used for the search originates.
- Field #Field Name# contains the selected field that is indexed and used for the search.
If the BAS data model is not explicitly maintained, a default setting is used. This setting uses those fields that are marked as default fields for each address type in the BAS control table TSAD10 for indexing and for the search.
Profiles for Duplicate Check
The BAS interface for the duplicate check for addresses consists of the following two components:
- Business Add-In ADDRESS_SEARCH
This BAdI calls the duplicate check.
- Business Add-In ADDRESS_UPDATE
Prerequisite for the search function across Business Add-In ADDRESS_SEARCH is to record search indexes used in this interface.
To perform the duplicate check for addresses, you must enter the profile specified in the configuration wizard as the default profile for the triple consisting of application, object type and use case.
Setting the service name and profile for each Business Add-In assumes that the wizard performed Customizing for the Information Quality Management # Duplicate Prevention use case.
