In this section you define which method should be used to select the planned orders for the specified work centers.
You must specify this method if you use the production optimization interface.
Standard settings
SAP does not provide any standard method.
Activities
Select a method for selecting planned orders and set the relevant indicator:
- V: Selection of all materials for which one of the specified work centers is named in a production version. All planned orders are selected for these materials.
- B: Selection of all capacity requirements that use a capacity of the selected work center. All planned orders are selected for these capacity requirements.
- P: Selection of all plans for which at least one operation is processed at the specified work center. All materials that can be produced through the selected plans are then selected. All planned orders are then selected for the selected materials.
Further notes
You can only select method V if you are working with production versions. Note also that the relevant planned orders are only selected for the work centers if these work centers are entered in a production version assigned to the material.
You can only select method B if lead time scheduling takes place in the R/3 system. No capacity requirements exist outwith the scheduling horizon and the relevant planned orders cannot be selected.
Method P is the most precise, but also the most time-consuming method.
