In this section you can define the port description. This is required for dispatching messages to logical systems.

The port is assigned to a partner system in the partner profile.

Requirements

The RFC destinations must be assigned.
- Sending and Receiving Systems
- Systems in Network
- Define Target Systems for RFC Calls.

The number range for the ports must be defined before the distribution will work properly.

Activities

For the distribution you need a port of type transactional RFC.

  1. Select this port type and select Edit -> Change
  2. On the detail screen, choose New entries.

  • Enter the description and an assigned RFC destination. In version you can set the release with which the data is to be transferred (for example, version 2 = Releases 3.X).

  • Description: <enter a description>
  • Logical destination: <RFC destination for ALE>
