You should maintain dialing codes in table T005K for all countries with which you communicate by telephone, fax or telex.
These entries are used when creating fax or telex messages (SAPcomm orSAPLPD and WinFax) and for computer-supported telephoning (TAPI).
Field description
- Telephone from: Here you enter the initial digits required for making an international telephone or telefax call.
- Telephone to: Here you enter the country code of the target country.
- Delete digits: See F1 field help in the maintenance transaction.
- Telex from: Here you enter the initial digits required for making an international telex call.
- Telex to: Here you enter the country code of the target country.
Table T005 is used as follows: To send a telefax from country "A" to country "B", the beginning of the dialing process is taken from the field Telephone from for country "A", and the country code of country "B" is taken from the field Telephone to.
Example:
Country Telephone from Telephone to Digits l.
GB Great Britain 010 44 0
US USA 011 1 0
To telephone from Great Britain to the United States, you dial 010 1; To telephone from the United States to Great Britain, you dial 011 44.
Standard settings
There are about 190 country codes defined in the SAP standard delivery system. The ISO standard is used for the country key in accordance with "Define countries".
Activities
- Check that the entries are complete.
- Add the missing countries if necessary.
Use the ISO standard for your entries.
Notes:
- If you do not use telex, you can leave the entries for telex blank.
- In the "from" fields, you only need to maintain the countries from which your SAP System can be reached.
- In the "to" columns, you only need to maintain the countries in which you have communication partners.
- If you use SAP System telematic services (SAPcomm or WinFax), you can test your entries with the transaction SKRT (with the transactions SPAD and SCOM). after you have setup the services.
