Use

With this Customizing activity, you can register your application as an OAuth client in SAP Jam.

Requirements

Logon to your company's SAP Jam account and select Admin from the user dropdown list on the upper right. The Admin option is only available for company administrators.

Standard settings

The SAP applications using Social Media ABAP Integration are already defined in CLBV_APPLI view. You have to repeat the activities for each application that you are using, especially for the default application SAIL in each SAP system and client that shall be connected to the external service provider.

Activities

  1. In the navigation bar, choose OAuth Clients.
  2. You have to register each application that you want to use, for each SAP system and client, by choosing the link Add OAuth Client.
    We recommend choosing the name of the OAuth client following the pattern <company>_<system>_<client>_<application>.
  3. Enter the Integration URL, for instance a link to the homepage of your company or project.
  4. Enter the Security Certificate that you downloaded in the Customizing activity Retrieve Certificate for RSA-SHA1.
    Note: Make sure you removed all hard returns from the textbox: If you place the cursor at the end of the line and there is a space, remove it.
  5. Save the new OAuth client.

Select View in SAP Jam to get the details of the OAuth client that you just created. You will receive a consumer key that is needed in a later step.
