Use
With this Customizing activity, you can activate and configure the distribution of notifications originating in SAP NetWeaver Gateway to external service providers.
Requirements
- The subsequent Customizing activities are only relevant on an SAP NetWeaver Gateway hub system.
- You must have configured the connection to each target platform (for instance, SAP Jam), following the other Customizing nodes under Collaboration.
Standard settings
Per default, Gateway notifications are not forwarded to external service providers - even if you already use the connection to these platforms for calling the SAIL API.
Activities
The distribution of Gateway notifications must be activated as follows:
- On the server or target platform (see Customizing activity Server Settings)
- In the OData service (see Customizing activity Activate OData Service for Notification)
You can monitor this by using the Background RFC monitor in which you also need to configure an inbound destination (see Customizing activity Maintain bgRFC Configuration)
Applications that trigger Gateway notifications may also benefit from the OData Service registry (see Customizing activity Define OData Service Registry)
