In this IMG activity you define the following for each condition type in a condition group:

  • Whether the end of the fixed period should be brought forward in the cash flow simulation for a full payoff
  • How the due date for the condition type should be shifted in the case of a payoff

Example 1

Settings in the application:

Nominal interest: Exact payment form (PF): Quarterly at end of period
End of fixed period (Fixed until): 12/31/YY+2
Payoff date (Due on): 12/15/YY
Indicator Shift due date: Keep scheduled due date

Settings in Customizing:

Condition type: Nominal interest
Indicator Stop CF: Selected
Indicator Shift DDte: After end of fixed period

Effect:

Selection of the Stop CF indicator for the condition type "nominal interest" results in the use of 12/15/YY as the simulated fixed period end. Interest is calculated for the period from 10/01/YY to 12/15/YY.
The entry "After end of fixed period" in the Shift DDte field has the effect of shifting the scheduled due date 12/31/YY forward to the date of the end of the fixed period, in this example to 12/15/YY.

Example 2a

Settings in the application:

Guarantee charges: Exact payment form (PE): Yearly at end of period
End of fixed period (Fixed until): 12/31/YY+2
Payoff date (Due on): 12/15/YY
Calculation data (Last period): Include fully
Indicator Shift due date: Keep scheduled due date

Settings in Customizing:

Condition type: Guarantee charges
Indicator Stop CF: Selected
Indicator Shift DDte: After end of fixed period

Effect:

Selection of the Stop CF indicator for the condition type "Guarantee charges" results in the use of 12/15/YY as the simulated fixed period end. Guarantee charges are calculated for the period from 10/01/YY to 12/15/2000. The setting "Include fully" means that the amount calculated for the guarantee charges corresponds to the condition amount.
The entry "After end of fixed period" in the Shift DDte field has the effect of shifting the scheduled due date 12/31/YY forward to the date of the end of the fixed period, in this example to 12/15/YY.

Example 2b

Settings in the application:

As for example 2a

Settings in Customizing:

Condition type: Guarantee charges
Indicator Stop CF: Selected
Indicator Shift DDte: Keep scheduled due date

Due to the entry "Keep scheduled due date" in the Shift DDte field, the system keeps the scheduled due date 12/31/YY.

Example 3

Settings in the application:

Charges: Exact payment form (PE): Yearly at end of period
End of fixed period (Fixed until): 12/31/YY+2
Payoff date (Due on): 12/15/YY
Calculation data (Last period): Include fully
Indicator Shift due date: Keep scheduled due date
Due date-related FiMa calculations (Due dte-rel.): Calculate using due date

Settings in Customizing:

Condition type: Charges
Indicator Stop CF: Selected
Indicator Shift DDte: After end of fixed period

Effect:

Selection of the Stop CF indicator for the condition type "Charges" results in the use of 12/15/YY as the simulated fixed period end. Since the due date for the charges falls outside the calculation period (10/01/YY to 12/15/2000), and the setting "Calculate using due date" has been made in the Due dte-rel. field, the charges are no longer calculated.
In this case, the setting "Shift due date after end of fixed period" has no effect.

Activities

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. Enter a condition group, and assign a condition type to this group.
  3. If you set the Stop CF indicator, the system shifts the fixed period end for the condition type forward for internal simulation purposes. This indicator only applies in the case of a full payoff.
  4. For each condition type, make the setting for shifting the due date.

Note: The setting you make here overrides the setting in the Shift due date field in the condition detail screen of the contract.

  5. Save your entries.
