Use
In this Customizing activity, you define the clearing accounts for cross-company Controlling transactions using the resource-related intercompany billing (RRICB) process.
When you enter two company codes, you must enter P&L accounts with corresponding posting keys for credit and debit postings.
The following must apply for activation of a company code combination:
- Both company codes belong to the same controlling area.
- The P&L accounts do not exist as cost elements in Controlling.
- Accounts are correctly and completely maintained for both company codes.

Example
Normally, a cross-company Controlling item is posted so the company clearing accounts are determined by intercompany clearing accounts. For more information, see Define Intercompany Clearing Accounts.
However, if this company code combination is activated for the RRICB process, then the company clearing accounts are not determined by intercompany clearing accounts. The P&L accounts maintained in this activity are taken as clearing accounts.
