Use

The analytic query is defined on a cross-client basis. Therefore the ODP modeling for the underlying TransientProvider must only be read from one single client. You specify this client as a modeling client (for search and analysis) in this step.

Use this step to specify the RFC destination that is used to read the ODP modeling. This allows you to run the query on other clients as well.

Requirements

You have created an RFC destination of connection type ABAP destination and you have maintained the following parameters on the Logon & Security tab:

  • You have specified the modeling client that you want the destination to point to (under Client).
  • You specified a user (User and Password) with sufficient authorization to read the ODP modeling.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Specify the client where you want the modeling to take place.

    Note:
    If the BW client is also the modeling client, then this entry is optional.

  2. Specify the name of the RFC destination that points to the modeling client.

    Note:
    If the BW client is the same as the modeling client and the execution client, an RFC destination is not required.

  3. Choose Execute.
