Use
In this IMG activity, you supplement the system statuses for trials with your own status profile in order to map company-specific processes in your SAP system. You define the following as required:
- User statuses with status numbers:
These statuses form a status sequence. At any one time, only one status with a status number can be set in a trial. Once the next status with a status number is set, the preceding status is deleted. If you use user statuses with status numbers, one user status must be indicated as the initial status. The system automatically sets this user status when a trial is created.
- User statuses without status numbers:
Several of these statuses can be active at any one time. They can be set in addition to the statuses with status numbers. If you use only user statuses without status numbers, you do not have to indicate an initial status.
- Dependencies between user statuses and transactions:
Like system statuses, user statuses can be set or deleted by business transactions. These statuses control whether transactions are permitted. Statuses that are not set or deleted by a transaction can be set or deleted by a user-defined monitor task.
- Authorization for changing statuses:
You define this by assigning an authorization key to each user status.
You assign the user status profiles to the trial monitor task groups for which they are to be used.
