Use
Ideally, you choose identical external number ranges for the trial, stability study (message), and maintenance plan so that it is immediately apparent from the ID which objects belong together. If this is not possible, you have to set an internal number range for trial stability studies and an external number range for the maintenance plan, with the same interval.
