Use
In this IMG activity, you define characteristics so that they can be displayed in the hit list in the trial information system.
You can extend the hit list for trials by adding new fields to the hit list structure, for example. For a trial, you can display data from the classification in the hit list.
For each trial to be displayed, the function module for formatting hit lists searches for the values of the characteristics specified (Class and Characteristic Name) and enters these values in the relevant hit list fields (Hit List Structure and Field Name).
Requirements
You have made one of the following settings:
- You have created a new hit list structure in the ABAP Dictionary with the required fields (must include field TRIALID TYPE RMXTE_TRIALID). When you create a new structure, you also have to assign this to the information system (see Settings for Information Systems in Generic Information System, entry for the Trial Management information system).
- You have extended the hit list structure used in the information system to include a suitable field (see ABAP Dictionary -> Data type: Structure RMXTS_HITLIST_TRIAL2 -> Append Structure).
Note:
If you have not defined your own hit list structure, we recommend extending the structure to include your own fields in the standard Customizing include CI_TRIAL_HITLIST_CLASS.
Standard settings
SAP does not provide any class or characteristics for trials. You create your own classes and characteristics and then make the appropriate settings for these so that characteristics can be displayed in the hit list in the trial information system.
Activities
- Enter a hit list structure.
- Enter a field name, a class, and a characteristic name.
