Use
In this IMG activity, you set the parameters required by the generic information system.
The generic information system provides services that can be used by information systems. In order to use the generic information system, you have to set certain parameters for each information system, including the table type of the hit list, the view group for the search views, search methods, and so on.
When you implement a new information system (the user-defined service for the recipe workbench, for example), you must configure the information system. You can, however, also change the configuration for an existing information system. This enables you to change the icons to be used or add new search methods, for example.
Requirements
You have defined trial views.
All views must comply with the interface for search views (template: function group RMXT638).
Standard settings
Default settings are supplied with the system.
Activities
- Define an information system.
- Specify the search methods for the information system.
Example
The trial information system uses the generic information system and the information system for stability study building blocks in Quality Management QM.
