Use
In this IMG activity, you define ratings for formulas and recipes. In this way, you specify for which target groups formulas or recipes are intended. You then assign the ratings to the following objects in Recipe Management:
- The scopes of application for the formulas and recipes
- The report generation variants you want to use to create formula reports for the target group (see Formula Data Output on Reports)
Example
You may want to define the following ratings for the collaborative manufacture of products with a business partner:
Rating Meaning
INTERNAL For internal use only
PARTNERS For partners
Activities
- Check which target groups you must distinguish for formulas and recipes in your enterprise.
- Define the necessary ratings.
The settings for Dangerous Goods Management and Industrial Hygiene and Safety are not relevant to formulas or recipes.

Ratings are also used in the Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) component (see Set Up EH&S Customizing). Make sure you consult with those persons responsible for EH&S Customizing.
