Use
This IMG activity describes how you specify the descriptions for process parameters. The system displays these descriptions in the input help in Recipe Management. You use the input help to select the process parameters so that you can enter values for them.
You enter the descriptions for a process parameter in the SAP Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) component as phrases. You then assign the phrases to a characteristic of the value assignment type of the process parameter.
Requirements
You have processed the IMG activity Define Process Parameters.
Standard settings
The value assignment types supplied with the system for process parameters contain the characteristic SAP_RMS_PROC__DESC for the description. No phrases and no phrase sets are supplied for the actual process parameter descriptions.
Activities
- For each value assignment type of the process parameters, specify which characteristic contains the description and specify the characteristics in this IMG activity. Make sure here that the characteristic has the data type Character with 30 characters.
- Perform the following steps in the SAP EH&S component. For more information, see the documentation for the EH&S component under Creating Characteristic Fields in EH&S and the links given there:
- Transfer the characteristics to characteristic-phrase set assignment by matching up value assignment types and characteristics under Master Data Matchup. This enables you to assign phrase sets to the characteristics later on.
- Create at least one phrase for the description for each process parameter.
- Create a phrase set for each process parameter and assign the phrases for the description of the process parameter to it. If you assign several phrases to a phrase set, you can enter different descriptions for the process parameter (see the section entitled Example).
- Assign the phrase sets to the characteristics under Edit Phrase Set-to-Attribute Assignment.
- For this, choose the property tree in phrase set-to-attribute assignment under Utilities -> Other Property Tree that contains the value assignment types of the process parameters (see Define Process Parameters). This is the RECIP_PROC property tree in the standard system.
- Activate the phrasing of characteristics under Master Data Matchup. All the phrase-enabled characteristics are then assigned an input help that enables the assigned phrase set to be called.

You can enter data for the furnace temperature and room temperature in the temperature process parameter and specify a target value and a value for the minimum temperature in each of these.
