Use
In this IMG activity, you make all the settings that affect stages.
Requirements
- Make sure that the following stage types supplied with the system exist in Customizing for the Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) component in the IMG activity Specify Specification Types:
- S_POB_SB Stage building block (independent stage formula)
- S_POB_SB_D Stage building block (dependent stage formula)
- S_POB_SD Dependent stage (no formula assignment specified, assigned by higher-level object)
You must not change these process types and you must not create any new ones.
- In Customizing for Recipe Management in the IMG activity Define Number Ranges, you have specified the number ranges for stages.
Activities
- Define the views for stages. For more information, see Define Views.
- Define the language-specific descriptions for the views. For more information, see Specify Language-Specific View Names.
- Specify properties for the stage types supplied with the system.
The iPPE nodes for stages are:
- S_POB_SB Stage building block
- S_POB_SD Dependent stage
Do not change these nodes and do not create any new nodes.
In the properties of the stage types, you specify the following:
- Whether the stage type is active or inactive
- The formula dependency
- The number range for internal number assignment (not relevant for dependent objects)
- The number range for external number assignment (not relevant for dependent objects)
- Whether you archive your messages, and for how long
- Which process parameter profile is to be used as a basis (standard: DEFAULT)
- Assign the views to the stage types. For more information, see Assign Types to Views. Also note the following:
- You cannot use the BASIC, IDENT, and CLASS views for the stage type S_POB_SD (dependent stage)
- You cannot use the ACTIO, SEQUE, and PROCE views for any stage type. The reason why these are still displayed in the input help is that stages, operations, actions, and processes are of the same application object type (POB) and views are defined for each application object type. Therefore, all the views that can be used with all four process elements are always available in Customizing for stages, operations, actions, and processes.
