Use
In this IMG activity, you make all the settings that affect processes.
Requirements
- Make sure that the following process types supplied with the system exist in Customizing for the Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) component in the IMG activity Specify Specification Types:
- S_POB_PB Process building block (independent formula with independent stage formula)
- S_POB_PB_D Process building block (dependent formula with dependent stage formula)
- S_POB_PB_I Process building block (dependent formula with independent stage formula)
You must not change these process types and you must not create any new ones.
- In Customizing for Recipe Management in the IMG activity Define Number Ranges, you have specified the number ranges for processes.
Activities
- Define the views for processes. For more information, see Define Views.
- Define the language-specific descriptions for the views. For more information, see Specify Language-Specific View Names.
- Specify properties for the process types supplied with the system.
The iPPE node for processes is S_POB_PB. Do not change this node and do not create a new node.
In the properties of the process types, you specify the following:
- Whether a process type is active or inactive
- The formula dependency
- The number range for internal number assignment (not relevant for dependent objects)
- The number range for external number assignment (not relevant for dependent objects)
- Whether you archive your messages, and for how long
- Which process parameter profile is to be used as a basis (standard: DEFAULT)
- Assign the views to the process types. For more information, see Assign Types to Views. Note that you cannot use the OPERA, ACTIO, SEQUE, and QM views for process types. The reason why these are still displayed in the input help is that stages, operations, actions, and processes are of the same application object type (POB) and views are defined for each application object type. Therefore, all the views that can be used with all four process elements are always available in Customizing for stages, operations, actions, and processes.
