Recipe Management uses the structures of integrated Product and Process Engineering (iPPE).
Important Note: All the required settings are supplied with the standard system and as a rule it is not necessary to change them. This document contains all the important technical information about iPPE.
Equipment requirements are managed as iPPE objects of the application object type equipment requirement in the SAP system. Each equipment requirement consists of:
- an iPPE node that contains the different engineering change statuses and their data
- an iPPE relationship that maps the structural links with recipes and process elements for the appropriate equipment requirement
This document describes the iPPE settings in your system for the application object type equipment requirement. This gives you an overview of the relevant areas.
Standard settings
The standard system contains the following equipment requirement types with the required iPPE settings for them:
- Equipment requirement building block (S_EQR_BB)
- Dependent equipment requirement (S_EQR_DO)
Activities
You will find Customizing for iPPE in the Implementation Guide under Production -> Basic Data -> Integrated Product and Process Engineering. The following settings are relevant:
- Basic iPPE settings
You will find these settings in Customizing for iPPE under Define General iPPE Customizing. If required, check and change the entries made for the system response to different logical systems. The setting also affects other iPPE applications.
Important Note: Do not make any changes. This is not usually necessary.
Other iPPE activities in Recipe Management:
- Define General iPPE Node Types
A node type comprises a key, a description, and, if required, an icon for your node type.
Important Note: Only the node types in the standard system are taken into account. Do not create any new node types or make any changes to them.
