Use
In this IMG activity, you define which units of measure you can use in the views for editing recipes and formulas, and which units are proposed by default. You make the settings for the following views:
- Input and Output formula view
- Quantities formula view
- Composition formula view
- Basic Data recipe view
- Basic Data process object view
- Your own views, in which you enter quantities
The default units of measure in the standard views apply to the lot size and reference quantity in the Basic Data recipe view and to the total material and substance quantities in the formula views. The system does not propose a value for stages and processes when you create them because the lot size is not a required entry field. If you enter a lot size without specifying a unit of measure, the system automatically uses the default unit of measure.
Note:
The output substances of the Composition view are transferred from the Input and Output view without any more checks. Therefore, the system only takes the setting for the default unit of measure into account for the output substances of the Composition view.
Requirements
You have created the units of measure in the general Customizing settings under Check Units of Measurement.
Activities
- Check which units of measure used in your company are expedient in the different views.
- Assign these units of measure to the relevant views and subviews.
- For each view and subview, specify which of the allowed units of measure is to be used as the default unit of measure.
Further notes
For your own views, this setting is only taken into account if you have implemented the check in the screen for the associated function group (see Define Function Group for Formula View and Define Function Group for Recipe View). Note that you cannot insert any separate columns for your own views in this IMG activity, that is, you have to program using the existing indicators. Use, for example, for your own material and substance view, the Formula (Mat., Substance) indicator.
