Activities
Create Directories in File System
Create two directories in the file system for the central application server instance:
· Export directory
The system writes the XML files to this directory during the export.
· Import directory
You can add an import stamp to XML files from this directory or a sub directory.
Cross-Client Maintenance of File Names and File Paths
You must define file paths in the SAP System that specify the directory to which XML files are written during the export and the directory from which an import stamp can be added to XML files.
1. Choose the following path in the SAP NetWeaver Customizing settings: Application Server ->System Administration ->Platform-Independent File Names -> Cross-Client Maintenance of File Names and Paths.
2. Choose the logical file path RMPS_TRF_EXPORT_DIR. This logical file path describes the export directory to which XML files are written during the export.
3. Assign the physical file path of the export directory on the central application server instance to the logical file path. SAP delivers the standard setting <P=DIR_GLOBAL>/RMPS/<CLIENT>/<FILENAME> for the syntax group UNIX.
4. Choose the logical file path RMPS_TRF_EXPORT_DIR_STRUCTURE. This logical file path describes the directory structure of the export directory and can be used to partition the export directory.
5. Assign a physical file path to the logical file path. The system generates the directories specified in the file path automatically during the export and writes the XML files to these directories. The system evaluates the following parameters at runtime:
a) <PARAM_1>: Name of the export stack
b) <PARAM_2>: Name of the root element of the XML file to be exported.
6. SAP delivers the standard setting <PARAM_1>/<PARAM_2>/<FILENAME> for the syntax group UNIX.
7. Choose the logical file path RMPS_TRF_IMPORT_DIR. This logical file path describes the import directory from which XML files can be added to an import stack.
8. Assign the physical file path of the import directory on the central application server instance to the logical file path. SAP delivers the standard setting <P=DIR_GLOBAL>/RMPS/<CLIENT>/<FILENAME> for the syntax group UNIX.
