Use

In this IMG activity, you can edit the central technical parameters for Records and Case Management.

In contrast to the IMG activity Display or Change Central Parameters (ALT) (in Customizing for Case Management, Customizing table SCMGPARAM), this activity allows you to maintain technical parameters area-dependently. This is necessary if you want to run more than one Records or Case Management-based application in a single system and therefore need to work in more than one area in parallel.

Each parameter is also assigned to a parameter group (such as CASE) as this parameter Customizing # in contrast to Customizing table SCMGPARAM # is not restricted to the service provider 'Case'.

Due to the downward compatibility to Case Management Customizing (Customizing table SCMGPARAM), Case Management-specific parameters are still read from table SCMGPARAM. This behaviour is controlled by parameter USE_SCMGPARAM (default value <TRUE>).
For Public Sector Records Management, you must set this parameter USE_SCMGPARAM to <FALSE>

For more information, see SAP Note 710006.

Requirements

If you have upgraded from PSRM 1.20 (WAS 6.20) or PSRM 1.30 (WAS 6.40), you should have migrated the values from the table SCMGPARAM.

Standard settings

Generally, you are advised not to change these parameters.

Only set the parameter USE_SCMGPARAM to <FALSE>.

The parameters of the parameter groups RMPS... are specific to Public Sector Records Management..

Parameter group RMPS_AUTHORITY

AUTH_KEY
In this parameter you can save an attribute to be used in the authorization objects RMPS: Access Record, Case, Document Org. Assignment of User (PS_RMPSORG) and RMPS: Access Record, Case, Document Special Org. Units (PS_RMPSOEH) for checking the field Key for Authorization Check (Dynamic Form) (RMPS_KEY).

DESCRIPTOR
You can use this switch to specify whether the user needs to have authorization for all descriptors assigned to the object or just to one of the descriptors, when the authorization object PS_RMPSPGE (RMPS TNA. Enhanced Check on Activities) is checked. If you want to check all descriptors, set the switch to AND. In all other cases, set the switch to OR or leave it blank.
In the standard settings, an assignment to multiple descriptors is intended for the DoD scenario only.

Parameter group RMPS_DISPOSAL

PS_START_OF_YEAR
Here you specify the start date of the disposal year in the format YYYYMMDD, for example, 18000401 for April 1.) Specifying the year is mandatory here. You can for example specify a specific financial year.
The disposal year is used for disposals in DoD scenarios. If nothing is entered, the calendar year is used.

GENERATE_TEXT
If this parameter is set to X , the system generates the text for the disposal rule.

Parameter group RMPS_FORM

PS_FORM_BARCODE_CASE
SAPscript forms for creating the barcode from a unique case indicator

PS_FORM_BARCODE_DOC
SAPscript forms for creating the barcode from a unique document indicator

PS_FORM_BARCODE_INC
SAPscript forms for creating the barcode from a unique incoming post item indicator

PS_FORM_BARCODE_REC
SAPscript forms for creating the barcode from a unique record indicator

PS_MAIL_ATTR_CASE

PS_MAIL_ATTR_DOC
Smart Forms that control the appearance of the PDF attachment for attributes when sending e-mails (for documents)

PS_MAIL_ATTR_INC
Smart Forms that control the appearance of the PDF attachment for attributes when sending e-mails (for cases)

PS_MAIL_ATTR_INC
PS_MAIL_ATTR_REC Smart Forms that control the appearance of the PDF attachment for attributes when sending e-mails (for records)

PS_PRINT_ATTR_CASE

PS_PRINT_ATTR_REC
Smart Form that controls the printing of the attributes of a record

PS_PRINT_BARCODE

PS_PRINT_SIGNATURE
Smart Form for printing the signature data

PS_PRINT_TEXT
Smart Form for printing texts

Parameter group RMPS_GENERAL

PS_DOMEA_DISP_CONV
Flag specifying whether files are converted in a DOMEA disposal

PS_DOMEA_DISP_ORG
ID for DOMEA disposal organization

PS_MAIL_OUTBOX
When sending mails from PSRM, you are given the option of saving the sent object to the user's outbox. If you enter USER here, the system uses the office setting from the Business Workplace. You can also enter the value NO and YES to select never or always (default).

PS_MAIL_SENDER
SAP system name under which all e-mails are sent (fixed sender address such as information@sap.com)

PS_MAIL_XML_OUT
Creation of XML attribute record active or inactive when sending e-mail

Format: XML flag, BOR flag, flag specifying only one XML for all documents sent collectively, Protocol flag. The flags are active if set to X, and are separated by commas. You set these flags to
  • Activate e-mailing of the attributes in XML format
  • Also send the attributes as a BOR link. The BOR link enables direct access to the object from the e-mail; however, it is only active within the SAP system and not when sending to Internet addresses.
  • Create only one XML for the attributes of all documents sent together.
  • Display protocol data on cover sheet

PS_OCR_DIR
Directory name for storing OCR documents

PS_OCSP_ACTIVE
Used for digital signature

PS_PRO_ONLY_CUST
If you set this value to X, only the custodian can modify certain authorization-relevant fields; these include access lists, descriptors, the custodian, and the security level.

PS_PRO_AUTH_DLI
Here you can specify whether users are allowed to add groups to access lists to which they do not belong. NOMEMBER allows you to delete and add groups without being a member; NOMEMBERADD only allows you to add groups, NOMEMBERDEL only allows you to delete groups. Administrators can perform all of these actions (but only when using the TNA authorization check).

PS_PRO_CNG_SEC_LEVEL
Switch: Adjusts the authorization level. This switch determines whether the authorization level for the folder or document is adjusted when documents are inserted in folders.

  • The value H specifies that the authorization level of the folder is raised to the level of the inserted document, if the document has a higher authorization level than the folder.
  • The value L specifies that the authorization level of the inserted document is raised to the level of the folder, if the folder has a higher authorization level.
  • You can also specify the value HL to activate both functions at the same time.
This function is only intended for use in the TNA scenario.

PS_PRO_INHERITANCE
Enables automatic updates for inherited attribute values

  • If the value is R, there is retroactive inheritance after a class or case is moved.
  • If the value is C, there is retroactive inheritance when the attributes of a higher-level object are changed.
  • Note that the setting R does not appear to be very useful.
Also note that, if you enter an empty value here, you effectively disable inheritance. If you do not need inheritance, this can improve performance.

PS_PRO_SPS_RENDITION
Element type for the target of the conversion for online display in an independent format.

PS_SPS_OFFICE_MAIL

Customer element type for Office mails if there are errors when sending mails (encryption by proxy)
