Use
In this IMG activity, you create a process route template which describes the incoming post process in your organization.
The process route is a workflow that defines in which sequence and using which activity employees process incoming post items.
The employees entered in the process route receive a work item for processing the incoming work item in their worklist on the electronic desk. The employees can change the process route template if necessary provided that they have authorization to do this.
Requirements
The following IMG activities must be carried out:
- Create Number Range Interval 01 for Process Route
- Define Object Types and Assign Activity Types
- Define Activities and Activity Functions for Process Route
Standard settings
Activities
- Enter the header data for the process route.
- Insert the process route items.
You have the following options for inserting process route items: - Sequentially: The process route item is inserted sequentially after the process route item on which you have currently placed your cursor. As soon as the processor has finished the preceding process route item, the system automatically sends the work item.
- Parallel: The process item is inserted parallel to the process item on which you have currently placed your cursor. As soon as the processor of the preceding item has completed their work item, the
system automatically sends the work item to all employees in parallel.
- Define the characteristics of the process item.
- Check the process route.
- You have to assign the process route ID to the document types relevant for your incoming post process in the IMG activity "Define Basic Settings for Incoming Post Items". This triggers the start of the process route template for incoming post.
