Use

In this IMG activity, you can configure the texts of the context menu functions and the pushbutton texts in the application toolbar for your electronic desk display.

You can edit the following texts for each service provider:

  • Function names in the context menu
  • Toolbar Pushbutton texts in the toolbar
  • Toolbar Menu pushbutton texts and function names in the toolbar
  • Toolbar Tooltip (quick info) texts for pushbuttons in the toolbar
  • Toolbar Order of the pushbuttons in the toolbar

The settings you make here are client-specific and language-specific. Note also that your Case Management settings are different from your Records Management settings (see Activities).

Standard settings

SAP supplies some example settings.

Activities

Records Management: Proceed as follows to determine the service provider IDs and the corresponding menu names and functions:

  1. Start the electronic desk in customizing mode (transaction SCASEPSCUSTOMIZING).
  2. Menu name and functions:

    Switch to edit mode for an object or create an object. Scroll right in the toolbar. An information pushbutton displays the key of the menu name used. The technical names of the functions are shown in the associated tooltip.

  3. Service provider ID:
    1. To find out the element type ID of the object, choose Information in the context menu of the object.
    2. Go to the SRM registry (transaction SRMREGEDIT) and navigate to the element type ID under S_AREA_RMPS. Double click the element ID. The system displays the service provider ID used in the dialog box.

Case Management: Procedure for configuring cases:

  1. In RMPS customizing, under Case -> Function Profile go to the IMG activity Define Functions .
  2. Specify your setting for each function.

    When doing this, check whether the function is classified as a permitted function in your function profile (see the IMG activity Create Function Profile).
