Use
You can provide users with a private work area in the system, which other users cannot access. A user can, for example, use this area to create and edit drafts before presenting them to other users.
Documents in private work areas are ignored by searches made by other users and hence cannot be accessed.
Requirements
You have made the customizing settings for status management and defined a status profile to which a private status is assigned.
A status which has the "Object locked" flag set is private in this context.
You have assigned this status profile to an element type for documents, using the appropriate connection parameter STATE_PROFILE_ID.
Standard settings
The standard settings for TNA do not allow access to private objects and the private objects of a user are displayed separately in the TNA desktop.
In cases other than TNA, you can use a DOMEA desktop for private objects.
Activities
Configure the authorization check so that other users cannot access private objects. You must have configured the authorization check type appropriately in the RMS ID type table.
Example
You want to use private objects in a DOMEA scenario:
- Create a new element type and assign the appropriate status profile to it.
- Set the authorization check type to standard (no access to private objects) for the RMS you want to use.
- Use the DOMEA desktop for private objects.
