Use

In this IMG activity, you assign the organizational objects for the authorization check to the organizational units of the SAP organizational structure.

Requirements

The organizational objects are created in the IMG activity "Create Organizational Objects for Authorization Check".

Standard settings

There are no organizational units with assigned organizational objects for the authorization check in the standard system.

Activities

To assign an organizational object for the authorization check to an organizational unit, proceed as follows:

  1. Select organizational unit as an object type.
  2. Enter an organizational unit in the field object ID
    If you want an authorization to apply to a number of levels in your organizational structure, you only have to select the highest organizational unit for the assignment of the organizational object. The assignment of the superior objects in the organizational structure is passed on to the subordinate objects.
  3. Select SAP Organizational Objects.
  4. Select Create Infotype. (Infotype SAP Organizational Objects 1208)
  5. Select "RMPSORGAUT" as the SAP Org Object type.
  6. Select Create Key Fields and select an organizational object for the authorization check.

Note:

If you use the organizational level registry, the system determines the registry belonging to a organizational unit in the same way as the others - the organizational objects assigned to the organizational unit.

However, the system determines the assigned registry for the users (recorders) using the position. First the system determines all positions of the user and the organizational units for the positions. The system determines all assigned registries for these positions and organizational units.
