In Classic RE, there are three contract categories:
Lease-out
General contract
Management contract
In the previous migration steps, the contract types of these contract categories were converted to meet the requirements of RE-FX.
Number assignment for contracts in RE-FX is by contract type, whereby the number ranges, which were defined in Classic RE for the general contract, are reused here.
Since number range interval 01 is always used in Classic RE for the general contract, every contract type in RE-FX was assigned to this number range interval.
Assign a number range interval to the contract type.
You might want to assign the numbers based on certain rules that you define yourself (for example, using a code for the contract type, business entity, rental object and sequence number). In that case, use the GET_NUMBER method of the BADI_RECN_CONTRACT BAdI to assign the number. You can use function module API_RE_CN_NUM_GENERATE_BY_OBJ to retrieve certain information from contract objects (such as the number of the business entity). Note: The number range is not relevant to the migration itself. The number range is only important later if you create objects with the object type.
