Use
In this IMG activity, you can overwrite the values of the interface parameters delivered in the standard system for user interfaces using Web Dynpro ABAP.
You can redefine the default values with your own values for the following parameters:
APPL_POL_EXT
You can use this parameter to store a link to the document with the application guidelines for external candidates. The document is displayed to external candidates on the user interface.
Enter the URL that refers to the document.
APPL_POL_INT
You can use this parameter to store a link to the document with the application guidelines for internal candidates. The document is displayed to internal candidates on the user interface.
Enter the URL that refers to the document.
HIDE_NO_ENTRY_RDB
You use this parameter to specify whether No Entry is displayed as the first possible response for questions in questionnaires where the system provides the responses in the form of radio buttons. In this way, it is possible for the user to leave such a question unanswered.
The following settings are possible:
HIDE_NO_ENTRY_RDB = ' ': The No Entry radio button is displayed
HIDE_NO_ENTRY_RDB = X: The No Entry radio button is hidden
MAX_RDB
You use this parameter to determine the maximum number of possible responses for questions that are displayed in questionnaires using radio buttons. If the specified number is exceeded, the system displays a dropdown list box instead of radio buttons.
Enter the maximum number of possible responses that the system can display using radio buttons.
PINST_DISPLAY_PDF
You use this parameter to determine the display format that the system uses to display job postings if a default setting is not stored.
Note
The parameter is used if you have used the system parameter RECFA DATAO (Technology for Output of Data Overviews) to set up the system so that it displays data overviews using SAP Smart Forms.
The settings affect the display of job postings in the following scenarios:
- The user is an unregistered candidate (service user) and views a job posting.
- The user is a candidate who did not store a display format for data overviews on his or her start page in the Personal Settings. This candidate views a job posting.
The following settings are possible:
PINST_DISPLAY_PDF = ' ': The system displays the job postings in HTML format using SAP Smart Forms.
PINST_DISPLAY_PDF = X: The system displays the job postings using PDF-based forms (default setting).
DISPLAY_PDF
You use this parameter to determine the display format that the system uses to display data overviews if a default setting is not stored.

The parameter is used if you have used the system parameter RECFA DATAO (Technology for Output of Data Overviews) to set up the system so that it displays data overviews using SAP Smart Forms.

SF_PUBL_EXT
You use this parameter to determine which Smart Form is used for the data overview of external job postings.
Enter the technical name of the Smart Form.
SF_PUBL_INT
You use this parameter to determine which Smart Form is used for the data overview of internal job postings.
Enter the technical name of the Smart Form.
SF_VIEW_CAND
You use this parameter to determine which Smart Form is used for the candidate data overview.
Enter the technical name of the Smart Form.
SF_VIEW_AWZD
You use this parameter to determine which Smart Form is used for the candidate data overview in the application wizard.
Enter the technical name of the Smart Form.
SP_OVERVIEW_TAB
You user this parameter to determine whether an overview page is used on the start page (IMG-Aktivität Define Start Pages).
The following settings are available
SP_OVERVIEW_TAB = '' (default setting): No overview page is displayed.
SP_OVERVIEW_TAB = 'X': Overview page is displayed.
UNICODE_CHKS_IN_SRCH
You use this parameter to determine whether a language-independent search is possible in search scenarios. All SAP E-Recruiting search scenarios enable a language-independent search in a non-Unicode system if the value All is selected for the language on the user interface in the General Search Settings.
The following settings are possible:
UNICODE_CHKS_IN_SRCH = ' ': Language-independent search is not possible. In General Search Settings, the All selection option for the language is not available.
UNICODE_CHKS_IN_SRCH = X: Language-independent search is possible. In General Search Settings, the All selection option for the language is available.
SF_VIEW_ACT
You use this parameter to determine which Smart Form is used for the data overview of an activity.
Enter the technical name of the Smart Form.
NO_OF_CHAR_IN_FIELDS
You can use this parameter to restrict the number of characters for the free-text fields in which the candidate can store descriptive texts. To do this, you specify the number of characters as the value for the parameter. By default, no value is defined for this parameter.
Note
This parameter has no effect on the free-text field for the application cover letter. You use the parameter NO_OF_CHAR_IN_LETTER to specify the number of permitted characters for the application cover letter.
NO_OF_CHAR_IN_LETTER
You can use this parameter to restrict the number of characters for the free-text fields in which the candidate can store his or her application cover letter. To do this, you specify the number of characters as the value for the parameter. By default, no value is defined for this parameter.

- Select the parameters to which you want to assign values. Use the value help to select entries from the list of all possible parameters. Parameters to which you have already assigned a customer-defined parameter value are flagged in this list by an identifier in the Customer column.
- Enter a permitted parameter value for each of the parameters you have selected.
