Use
In this IMG activity, you create special users for the scenarios that are required when using Web Dynpro ABAP in a separated system (front-end and backend on different systems).
Note
- You perform this IMG activity in your backend system only.
- For the system constellation whereby the front-end and backend run on one system, you can reuse a previously created service user and existing reference users for internal and external candidates.

Activities
Create Service User
Some scenarios are accessible for registered users only; other scenarios are also accessible for unregistered users (registration, job postings, direct application). You must assign a service user to these services so that an unregistered user can use these services.
- Create the user.
- Identify the user as a service user.
- Assign the service user the SAP_RCF_UNREG_CANDIDATE_SERVER user role or one of the user roles you copied.
Create Reference User
You create reference users to simplify user authorization maintenance. You assign different roles to each reference user. If you then assign a reference user to a user, the user inherits all of the reference user's role attributes (authorization profiles).
- Create a user.
- Identify the user as a reference user.
- Assign the corresponding user roles to the reference user.
Assign Service Users and Reference Users to User Roles
Once you have created the special users, you assign them to the roles in the IMG activity Specify Role Assignment for Service Users and Reference Users.
Example
You create a reference user for internal candidates and assign it to all users that are stored in the system as internal candidates. This happens automatically if you assigned the reference user to the Internal Candidate role in the IMG activity Define Roles in E-Recruiting. In this way, you can make changes centrally to the authorizations for all internal candidates by making changes to the reference user.
