Use
In this IMG activity, you define user lists and categories for user lists.
You use the user lists to group together users with their respective roles in E-Recruiting. You can use user lists when assigning members to the support team of a requisition or an application.
You can use categories to group together user lists by subject, thus simplifying the overview of existing user lists.
Requirements
You have checked that the users are created in the E-Recruiting system.
You have performed the IMG activity Define Roles in E-Recruiting.
Standard settings
Activities
- Create the user lists that you want to use. Enter a descriptive name for each user list.
- Select a user list and assign the relevant users and their roles in E-Recruiting to this user list.
- If necessary, create the categories that you want to use to group your user lists. Enter a descriptive name for each category.
Note: After you have created the categories, you must assign the user lists that you would like to use to one of these categories. You cannot select unassigned user lists on the user interface.
- Select a category and assign the relevant user lists to this category.
Example
You want to sort your user lists by the location at which recruitment occurs and then group them into a category.
You create the following user lists:
- 001 (North America)
- 002 (Europe)
You then assign the relevant users and their roles in E-Recruiting to the user lists.
You create the following user list category in which you want to group together the user lists you have just created.
- 001 (Recruitment Location)
You assign the user lists 001 (North America) and 002 (Europe) to the category 001 (Recruitment Location).
Notes
The system displays the names and categories of the user lists in the user's logon language on the user interface for maintaining the support team of a requisition or an application. For this reason, you should use meaningful names.
