Use
E-Recruiting uses the current version of Search and Classification (TREX) as a search engine.
You must install this search engine and the Python enhancement "XML Attribute Extractor" if you want to use the search functions for candidate data, job postings, and so on.
Caution:
Perform this IMG activity in the production system as well.
Requirements
Standard settings
Activities
Install the search engine in the configuration for a non-portal environment with connection to the Web Application Server you use. For more information about the installation and installation checks, see the current Installation Guide on SAP Service Marketplace under service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Netweaver -> SPA NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) -> SAP NetWeaver Search and Classification TREX -> TREX 7.0 Installation or TREX 7.1 Installation and Update.
Use the Installation with RFC-Connection checklist for installing TREX.
In addition, take note of the following section of the Installation Guide for installing TREX:
- Activating Python Extensions
You must activate the Python Extension Handler. The Phyton Extension with the name XML Attribute Extractor must also be registered.
- Creating an RFC-Destination
It is recommended that you create only one RFC destination, which should be of the type Registration.
- Creating a Search Server Relation
- Checking a RFC-Connection
This section contains information on what to do if the connection test of the RFC-Destination or the Search Server Relation (SSR) fails.
Note:
It is not necessary to schedule a background job for report RSTIRIDX (De-/Index Checked-In Documents) to run periodically.
