Use

In this IMG activity, you enter the values for your selection profiles. You specify which fields are to be included in the selection profiles and how the data is to be selected from these fields. The system uses the selected data to fill the worklists with data.

Requirements

You have performed the IMG activity Define Selection Profiles for Worklists.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Specify the work area by entering an application area to which the worklists are assigned for which you want to enter the selection profile values.
  2. Choose New Entries.
  3. Enter the selection profile. Use the input help function for this. The system displays all selection profiles that you have defined for the selected work area.
  4. Enter a field name. Use the input help function for this. The system displays all possible fields for the application area.
  5. Assign a sequential number. The number counts the entries that you store for a field. Also assign a number if you create only one entry for the field.
  6. Specify other criteria to restrict the data that is extracted for this field using the selection profile. Various options are available for this, depending on the field you enter.

Note: Use the input help in each case to avoid entering incorrect data.

The following criteria can be provided:

    • Indicator
    • You use the indicator to specify whether you want to include or exclude the subsequent values.
    • Selection Operator (EQ/BT/CP/...)
    • You use the selection operator to define the selection conditions for the subsequent values.
    • Value (lower limit)
    • Enter a fixed value or, if you want to specify a value range, the lowest value of the range. Depending on the selected field name, different values are possible.
For fields of the type Date (such as APPL_DATE (Application Date) or AEDTM (Changed On)), proceed as follows:
You want to enter a fixed date
Use the value help. The system opens the calendar. Select a date and transfer your entry.
The system compiles the date into an internal date format and displays this date format.
      Transfer the entry.
You want to enter a system date
Use the value help. The system opens the calendar. Do not select a date; instead, choose Cancel.
The system displays the input possibilities, such as SY-DATUM (Current Date), LOW_DATE (01.01.1900), HIGH_DATE (31.12.9999).
Select a system date and transfer your entry.
    • Operator
    • Enter a mathematical operator for the field type System Date, for example, addition or subtraction.
The field is ready for input only if you use the field type System Date for the value of the lower limit.
    • Number Operand
    • Enter a number for the field type System Date.
The field is ready for input only if you use the field type System Date for the value of the lower limit.
    • Value (upper limit)
    • Enter a fixed value or, if you want to specify a value range, the highest value of the range. Depending on the selected field name, different values are possible.
Note: Use the input help in each case to avoid entering incorrect data. For more information, see Value (lower limit).
    • Operator
    • Enter a mathematical operator, for example, addition or subtraction.
The field is ready for input only if you use the field type System Date for the value of the upper limit.
    • Number Operand
    • If required, enter a number.
The field is ready for input only if you use the field type System Date for the value of the upper limit.

Repeat the activities listed above for all fields that are to be contained in the selection profile and for other application areas.
