Use

In this IMG activity, you define the groups you want to display on the start pages. You can define new groups or use existing ones.

You use groups to combine links that share coherent content. A group is represented by a frame or box on the start page. The group box has a label, an explanatory text, a graphic, and a number of links.

Requirements

If you want to use your own links on the start pages, you have already created them in the IMG activity Define Links for Start Pages.

You have already specified the graphics you want displayed in the start page groups.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Enter an ID for a new group or select an existing one.
  2. Assign a name to the group. This name is not displayed on the user interface. It is used for creating value helps for Customizing.
  3. Assign an OTR alias to the group, which contains the title of the group. Create a new OTR alias or select an existing one. This is displayed on the user interface as the group title.
  4. Assign an OTR alias to the group, which contains the label of the group. Create a new OTR alias or select an existing one. This is displayed in the upper part of the group frame. It usually contains an introductory text.
  5. Assign a graphic to the group by specifying the data source of the graphic. The data source contains the name of the file and the directory path where the image is stored. This may be in the MIME Repository of the SAP system or any other directory of your choice. The format of the images must be either GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) or JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group Format). Specify the size of the graphic on the user interface. You must enter the height and the width of the graphic in pixels.
  6. Assign links to the group and specify the order in which they are to be displayed.
