Use

In this Customizing activity, you set up the data transfer from the HR system to the SAP E-Recruiting system if you run SAP ECC (SAP ERP Central Component), Human Resources Extension (EA-HR) together with the SAP E-Recruiting Add-On in separate systems.

Note

Once the recruiter has set the status To Be Hired for a candidate in SAP E-Recruiting, the candidate's data and the candidate ID are transferred using a Remote Function Call (RFC) from the SAP E-Recruiting system to the connected HR system and to the table for PA48. In PA48, this candidate ID is then handled as an external number.

Once the candidate has been hired using PA48 and the associated hiring actions, the newly created personnel number and the known candidate ID are transferred using RFC from the HR system to the SAP E-Recruiting system so that the external candidate is converted into an internal candidate. You use this Customizing activity to create this RFC connection.

You set up the inverse data transfer, that is, from SAP E-Recruiting to the HR system, in the Customizing activity Set Up Data Transfer for New Employees.

Requirements

You use SAP E-Recruiting, Release 3.00 or higher, together with SAP ECC 5.0, Human Resources Extension (EA-HR 500) and higher.

Activities

Note

You perform the following activities in your connected HR system.

  • Create an RFC connection (Remote Function Call) from the ECC system to SAP E-Recruiting.

To do this, choose transaction SM59 (Configuration of RFC Connections) in the ECC system. For more information about creating RFC connections, see the relevant Application Help.

  • In the ECC system, enter the RFC connection in the system table T77S0 in the namespace for SAP E-Recruiting (group name RECFA) under the semantic abbreviation DTCBA (RFC connection to E-Recruiting system).
    • To do this, choose transaction SM31. Under Table/View, enter the table T77S0.
    • Then choose the Maintain function.
    • Enter the name of the previously created RFC connection as the value for the parameter RECFA DTCBA and save the entry.
