Use

SAP provides two different solutions for customizing letters within correspondence activities:

  • If users use the HTML editor to customize letters, they can change the content and the formatting of the letters as necessary.
  • If users use the letter sections to customize letters, they can change the content of a predefined section within a letter.
  • Note This editor is only a text editor. This means that you cannot use bullet points and special characters. It is also not possible to show URLs in the area for editing letters. For more information, see SAP Note number 1073200.

You use the system parameter RECFA INDCO to specify which solution is to be implemented.

In SAP E-Recruiting, letter templates are represented using Smart Forms. Since the solutions demand different requirements of these forms, the forms must be structured differently.

Note

  • It is not possible to use both solutions at the same time.
  • If in the past you have used the HTML editor to customize letters and you now want to switch to the solution with changeable letter sections, you can no longer use the forms that you previously used.

Requirements

You used the IMG activity Specify System Parameter to set the system parameter RECFA INDCO.

Standard settings

In the standard system, the system parameter RECFA INDCO is set such that the user has to use the HTML editor to change correspondence (RECFA INDCO = ' ').

Activities

Use the following IMG activities to create the forms for the solution used in your system and then assign the forms to the relevant activity types.
