Use

In this IMG activity, you define the connection between your E-Recruiting system and your HR system. This connection is necessary to be able to transfer data about new employees to the HR system.

There are two scenarios to connect the system, either using an RFC connection or using SAP Exchange Infrastructure. The two scenarios are mutually exclusive.

Standard settings

Activities

Connect E-Recruiting system and HR system using RFC (Remote Function Call)

  • Create an RFC connection to your HR system.
  • In the system parameters table, specify the name of the RFC connection to your HR system under the RECFA HRRFC parameter.

Note: You create the inverse connection from the HR system to the E-Recruiting system in the IMG activity Set Up Data Transfer from SAP ECC (SAP ERP Central Component). This connection is only possible if you run SAP E-Recruiting, Release 3.00 or higher in combination with SAP ECC (SAP ERP Central Component), Human Resources Extension (EA-HR), Release 500 or higher on different systems.

Connect E-Recruiting system and HR system using SAP Exchange Infrastructure

In the system parameters table, enter the value "X" for the RECFA HRXI parameter. (IMG activity: Set Up System Parameter)

Note: You create the inverse connection from the HR system to the E-Recruiting system in the relevant HR system.

Necessary authorizations for the user of XI Inbound Processing (SAP Exchange Infrastructure)

For the user responsible for XI Inbound Processing (see XI configuration), you must set up the following authorizations in the E-Recruiting system as the system has to read certain data on the business partner and candidates and is subject to an authorization check.
