Use
You can use SAP's Quality Inspection Engine (QIE) to perform quality inspections while using a combination of different SAP solutions from the mySAP Business Suite or even non-SAP applications. Other systems - consumer systems - deliver data to the QIE for the inspection. From the QIE, you can transfer inspection requests to quality management (QM) in the existing system and then use additional functions, for example, characteristic-based results recording. It is possible that the properties of the inspection object types will have different descriptions in the different systems.
In this IMG activity, you define neutral codes for these properties. The system then uses these neutral codes to exchange property values between the different systems.
Instead of the QIE, you can also use an external QM system with a similar range of functions.
Example
One property that is frequently transferred by consumer systems is the material number. In Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems, this is known as the product number.
