In this IMG activity, you define deviation profiles for your batch records. In the deviation profile, you specify:
- Which data you want the system to determine in a deviation analysis. This means, you define the contents of the Deviations document.
- How this data is prepared for output. This means, you define the layout of the document.
In the overall profile, you will later assign the deviation profiles to the materials for whose batch records you want to use them. You can define different deviation profiles for each material and plant for the following transactions:
- Automatic deviation analysis during archiving
- Automatic deviation analysis during approval
- Manually triggered deviation analysis
If you do not define deviation profiles for your materials, you can start the deviation analysis only manually. The system then uses the maximum contents defined in the standard system, the standard form, and the standard print and analysis program.
