Use

You use this Customizing activity to create, change, and display Customizing related to the accounting integration in Project Management and in SAP ERP for a specific project type. In addition, you can maintain the cost and revenue rates in this Customizing activity.

Requirements

  • You have implemented SAP Note 1429870 in the software component SAP_APPL of the ERP system.
  • You have defined role types in Customizing for Project Management under Structure -> Define Project Types
  • You have defined object types in Customizing for Project Management under Connection to External Systems -> Accounting Integration -> Define Object Links for Accounting Integration
  • You have defined the destination of the ERP system using transaction sm59
  • You have defined the Web server alias of this ERP system in Customizing for Project Management under Connection to External Systems -> Object Links in SAP Systems -> Make Settings for Calling an SAP Transaction.
  • You have defined the controlling scenario you want to map to the project type in Customizing for ERP under Collaboration Projects -> Controlling -> Create and Change Controlling Scenarios

Standard settings

Activities

Create

  1. You can configure the following Customizing activities on the Project Management tab for one specified project type:
  2. Select the Replicate Project Type checkbox to replicate the project type to the ERP system if maintained.
  3. Select the Replicate Cost/Revenue Rates checkbox to replicate the values to the ERP system if maintained.
  4. Maintain the values for the controlling scenario on the ERP tab to map the project type replicated to the ERP system.
  5. Additionally, to configure the Customizing activity Define Cost/Revenue Rates, you can enter the cost and revenue rate, its validity, and details in the Cost/Revenue Rate field.
  6. Choose Execute.

Display

  1. Enter a project type on the Project Management tab and choose Display.
  2. The system displays all the values associated with the project type, such as short text, project category, and role types assigned to the project type, the object type mapped to the project and its destination and Web server alias.
  3. On the tab ERP tab, specify a project type in ERP and the corresponding destination. If you choose Display, the system displays details about the controlling method, scenario and level if available.
  4. Additionally, you can enter the cost and revenue rate in the Cost/Revenue Rate field and choose Display. The system displays the detail data for the cost and revenue rates.

Change

  1. Display the existing values as specified in the preceding section.
  2. You can modify the values if required and choose Execute.
