Use

You use this Customizing activity to maintain objects in the facade layer so that they can be used to create process definitions.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Check if the required Business Object (BO) type exists in the SOA Business Object folder. If it does not exist, create the BO type.
  2. Check if the BO type created in step one exists in the BO type folder. If it does not exist, create a corresponding BO type. Unlike the SOA BO types, the BO types in this folder are relevant for translation.
  3. Create a task type that describes the task, for example create, update, reverse, or delete.
  4. Create a task that is a combination of a BO type and a task type, for example Create Sales Order.

    If you want to add additional tasks to the main task created in step 4, you can do so under the dependent task folder.

    An example of an additional task is Create Sales Order Item.

  5. If you want to define the mode of execution for a task, you must create the appropriate Callable Business Entity (CBE) type.

    A CBE is a combination of CBE category, and CBE type.

  6. If you want to assign the CBE type to a task, you must map the CBE type to the task.
