Use

You use this Customizing activity to create an infrastructure where BOR-specific events are captured by the Process Observer to generate process logs.

Requirements

  • You have activated the FND_EPT_PROC_ORCH_1 business function.
  • You have identified the BOR objects and their corresponding events in the system.
  • You have defined the reusable POB-specific tasks in the system.

Standard settings

Activities

Complete the following :

  1. Map the POB business objects to the BOR objects to create a unified representation of the business objects.
  2. If the application has BOR-specific events, map them to the appropriate POB tasks to create a unified representation of the business events.
  3. If the application has class-based events, map them to the appropriate POB tasks to create a unified representation of the business events.
  4. If the more than one predecessor business object has been identified for a specific business object, you can assign the highest priority to the predecessor business object for which you want the system to generate process logs.

    For example: If you have "ABC" as a business object and it has A1 and A2 as its predecessors, and you assign priority 10 to A1 and 20 to A2, A2 takes precedence during the process log generation.
